Jak uruchomić AHCI po zainstalowaniu Windows 7?

AHCI, czyli Advanced Host Cotroller Interface jest pojęciem, z którym spotkała się niejedna osoba próbując zainstalować Windows XP na nowszym laptopie. Jednak nie o rozwiązaniu tego problemu jest ten wpis (solucji go dotyczących w Internecie jest mnóstwo) ;-).
Okazuje się, że z problemem spotkać się może również użytkownik Windows 7 (i Visty). Podpowiadam co zrobić, gdy podczas instalacji systemu miałeś wyłączoną tą opcję, a chcesz ją aktywować. Normalnie skończy się to tak, że po zmianie w biosie system się nie uruchomi. Można jednak temu zaradzić, w tym celu uruchom edytor rejestru i przejdź do klucza HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci i zmień wartość wartości (ale to brzmi…) Start na 0. Zamknij edytor, uruchom ponownie system i wprowadź zmiany w biosie. I tyle :). No, prawie, bo jeszcze czeka cię jeden restart związany z instalacją nowego sterownika kontrolera.

Win7 Ultimate E x86 zadziałało bez problemu. Gorąco dziękuję za poradę – tego potrzebowałem.
A u mnie po (automatycznej) instalacji nowego sterownika właśnie pojawia się niebieski ekran.
